Taking the crown of this week’s MVP is multidisciplinary British artist LUAP, who has taken his trademark life-size Pink Bear suit into the recently snow-filled British landscapes. Born out of a memory uncovered in therapy, the Pink Bear provided LUAP with the opportunity to reflect and became a positive way of navigating his sometimes conflicted internal voice and a beacon of positivity for those with similar issues around him the world. Not only does the artist poignantly touch on issues surrounding mental health, his work also comments on the current climate and ecological crisis, with LUAP regularly taking the Pink Bear to some of the planet’s most surreal and isolating landscapes.
